The Niagara rookie will continue in the OHL for the next couple of seasons.
Niagara IceDogs forward Finn Merrill has committed to play Division I NCAA hockey for Harvard University, he announced on his Instagram Monday.
Merrill, 16, was a second-round pick in this year's OHL draft. In 10 games as a rookie with Niagara, he has one assist in 10 games.
The Caledon native starred for The Hill Academy in the AAA circuit, scoring 89 (48+41) points in 59 games at the U16 level last year, which garnered him serious draft hype.

The 5-foot-10 forward is expected to head to college for the 2029-30 season as it stands, so IceDogs fans will have plenty of time to enjoy his talent before he heads stateside.
