On Tuesday evening, TSN's Darren Dreger reported that the Mississauga Steelheads are packing up and relocating to Brampton, Ontario.

A relocation for Mississauga has been a conversation for a few years now, and it looks like that will finally come to fruition. The franchise will move down the road to Brampton, roughly ten minutes away from the current Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

They will play out of the CAA Centre in Brampton, the arena most-recently used to host the IIHF Women's World Championships last spring. The seating capacity of the CAA Centre is 5,000.

Now this is not the first time that the OHL has had a team in Brampton, as the Battalion were there until the 2013-2014 season. The Battalion also had serious attendance issues in Brampton, which is why they eventually moved up north to North Bay.

Mississauga is having the same attendance issues currently, but maybe a move to Brampton will bring some life to the Steelheads organization.

The Steelheads always seem to have a competitive team, making the playoffs most years and producing a lot of NHL talent. Thomas Harley, Mason Marchment, Owen Tippett, Nicholas Hague, and Ryan McLeod all played with the Steelheads in the blue and white.

This move has not been officially finalized yet, but all arrows are pointing in the direction that it likely will happen.

At the very least, this relocation shines some light onto the Steelheads organization and how good of a future they have currently. Next season, they project to be one of the top teams in the league with youngsters like Porter Martone, Luke Misa, Jack Van Volsen, and Jack Ivankovic all being one year older.

This will be a team to watch next season, wherever they are playing.
