Latvia-born forward Sandis Vilmanis has signed his NHL Entry Level Contract with the Florida Panthers, since his hot streak since joining North Bay.

Since going almost a goal-per-game since joining the North Bay Battalion 20 games ago, Sandis Vilmanis has signed his three-year entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers.
Florida selected Vilmanis in the 5th round in 2022, when he was still with the Sarnia Sting. This past OHL Trade Deadline, Vilmanis was dealt from Sarnia to North Bay. Since repping the Troops, Vilmanis has been unstoppable.
He has 25 points and 18 goals through 20 games since joining North Bay, and he has given a playoff-contending team a much needed boost offensively. Vilmanis has found his groove with the Battalion, and he is using his speed and creativity to produce on a consistent basis.
Vilmanis has the ability to score some highlight reel goals that will make you do a double take. His hands and deceptiveness are high-end, and the Panthers may have found a gem of a winger in the 5th round.
Vilmanis has represented Latvia several times at the international level, and has consistently been a top forward on his team at the last three World Junior tournaments. He wore the 'A' this past year, and put up 4 points in the tournament.
Sandis Vilmanis has the opportunity to do something special with North Bay this postseason. If the Battalion make it to the finals or conference finals, Vilmanis will be a key asset to their success.
The 2004-born winger has one more eligible season in the OHL after this one, and you can bet he will be producing as a pro in the seasons following.
