All the details you need to stay updated on Sunday's OHL games.

The final day of the opening week in the OHL was slower with only two games. Ottawa traveled to Oshawa while Niagara played Kingston in their second road game of the week.

In many ways, we could not have asked for more from the first week of OHL action. We have seen dominant wins, upsets and overtime thrillers. Today's games continued the trend providing a thrill for those who watched.

If you couldn't watch, here are the relevant details from both of today's games.

Ottawa vs Oshawa

These two teams have clashed repeatedly over the last few seasons in what has become a budding rivalry.

Ottawa dominated the shot clock in the first period of the game, outshooting Oshawa 24-8. Despite the lopsided shot totals, it was Oshawa who jumped out to an early lead.

Nine minutes into the games, Matthew Buckley tapped Lauri Sinivuori's cross-ice feed into the back of the net beating Jaeden Nelson. Shortly thereafter it was 2-0 for the Generals as Tristan Deslisle redirected Brooks Rogowski's pass into the net.

Early in the second, rookie defenseman Kohyn Eshkawkogan fed overage forward Will Gerrior in the slot cutting Oshawa's lead in half. It was Gerrior's first goal this season while Eshkawkogan recorded his first OHL point.

Before the end of the period, Oshawa's Matthew Bucklet picked up his second goal of the year on the power play to regain the two-goal lead.

In the third, Ottawa only recorded five shots on goal. However, they found the back of the net twice to force overtime. Penguins prospect Cooper Foster scored the first goal while import player Filip Ekberg one-timed a shot home on the power play to tie the game.

In overtime, Eshkawkogan collected a puck in the corner before cutting towards the net. He slid the puck to Cooper Foster who slammed it past Jacob Oster winning the game for Ottawa and picking up his second goal of the game.

It should be noted that Oshawa goaltender Jacob Oster had a good game recording 37 saves. At the other end of the ice, Nelson ended the game with 30 saves.

Ottawa got their first win of the season in dramatic fashion while Oshawa finished the week with one win, one loss and an overtime loss.

Niagara vs Kingston

Niagara started the season well, beating the aforementioned 67's before travelling to Kingston for this contest. The Frontenacs had a win and a loss heading into the game.

Alex Assadourian got the scoring started when he streaked into the Frontenacs' zone and tenaciously slammed his own rebound into the back of the net.

The Frontenacs responded quickly scoring just two minutes later. Matthew Soto scored the goal off a sweet feed from Jacob Battaglia who is off to a hot start to the season.

Early in the second, it was Battaglia who gained the lead for Kingston by sniping a shot over Owen Flores' shoulder.

In the third period, Kevin He put the team on his back and scored a pair of goals that came 25 seconds apart giving Niagara a 3-2 lead.

Andrei Loshko scored an empty net goal to make in 4-2 before Max Crete got his first OHL goal by sliding the puck in for the team's second empty-net goal. Braidy Wassilyn, the IceDogs' first-round pick, recorded his first OHL point on Crete's goal.

After struggling last year, Niagara has won their first two games of the season defeating Ottawa and Kingston. This was the first loss of the campaign for the Frontenacs.

With week one in the books, OHL action will continue with a trio of games next Thursday.
