Owen Sound Attack netminder Carter George earned the starting job at the U18 World Championships for Canada, and his draft stock has surged upward as a result of his performance.

George was chosen to represent Canada at the U18 Men's World Championships in Finland, and though he did not initially receive the starting job, he found a way to earn it. George took the starting job and never looked back, as he was outstanding on every occasion for the Canadians in this tournament.
In the gold medal game versus the USA, George was absolutely sensational, making a multitude of game-saving acrobatic stops to keep Canada in it. Canada was down in this game in the first and second period, without George, they wouldn't have had a chance to get back in the game.
Canada came out with the 6-4 win, as they win gold and prevent the Americans from going back-to-back. George finished with a .915% save percentage and a 2.33 GAA in six games through the tournament.
The Thunder Bay, Ontario-native plays for the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL, where he had an impressive draft-eligible season as their starter. George had a lot of games where he saw 40-50 shots, and he was able to hold the Attack in many games.
