Carson Rehkopf scored his 30th goal against the Guelph Storm on Tuesday, making him the first player to reach that feat this season.

Carson Rehkopf has become the first player to score 30 goals on the 2023-2024 season, as he averages over a goal-per-game.

The 30th goal came on Tuesday against the Guelph Storm, in none other than Kitchener's Teddy Bear Toss game. The Rangers took the win as the teddy bears came raining down after Cameron Mercer scored the game's first goal.

Carson Rehkopf was recently invited to Canada's World Junior Selection Camp, where he will have the opportunity to make the team and represent his country on the international stage. As the OHL's leading scorer, this invite was highly anticipated for Rehkopf. He is one of eleven OHLers invited to the camp, and likely has one of the highest opportunities to make the team.

Out of the gates this season, Rehkopf did not skip a beat. He has been dominant and is consistently producing for the Rangers. He currently has 51 points in 29 games this season.

He has a lethal shot release that he is able to use from just about anywhere in the offensive zone. He scores a lot of goals with snapshots from the top of the zone, something that many forwards have a tough time doing. Rehkopf has a tremendous amount of power behind his shot which allows him to get these pucks through from far out.

There is no question that Rehkopf will be able to score goals at the NHL level.

Rehkopf was selected by the Seattle Kraken in the second round of the 2023 NHL Draft in Nashville, as he joins an OHL-heavy prospect pool.

The main question surrounding his game last season was his lack of consistency. He would have games where he'd dominate in every shift and pick up four points, but there were also games where he was invisible.

He has certainly found a solution this season, as he has only had six games with zero points.

Rehkopf will be taking a short-leave from the Rangers as he heads to Oakville for Canada's Selection Camp, and Kitchener will definitely miss him in the meantime.
