Switzerland wins their first game of the World Juniors with a win over Norway, by a score of 6-2. The Swiss avoid the relegation game with this win, forcing Norway to play in it.

As a large part of Switzerland's World Junior team for the past couple of years, Rodwin Dionicio had his fingerprints all over this game. He scored two goals for the Swiss, and both were beauties.

On his first goal, he showcased his accurate shooting ability. He got the puck down low in the offensive zone, and faked out a defender before ripping the puck top shelf.

On Dionicio's second goal, he also walks down low into the zone, but this time he cuts right to the net. He beat the goalie on the far side with a backhand shot.

Dionicio is one of the best offensive defencemen in the OHL. He is a high-risk player who often wanders deep into the offensive zone to make plays, but his offensive upside for the next level is skyhigh.

Between his smooth skating ability and his finesse, he is a handful for opponents to handle in the attacking zone. Dionicio generates lots from the blue line, though he isn't Saginaw's only offensive defenceman. Zayne Parekh is the quarterback of the Spirit's first power play unit, as Dionicio takes the second.

Playing in his last World Juniors tournament for Switzerland as a nineteen-year-old, Dionicio has been a big piece of this team over the last three tournaments.

The Anaheim Ducks draft pick sits in a prospect pool full of talented defencemen, time will tell if Dionicio can be apart of the Ducks' future and young talent.
