Kasper Halttunen was a close runner up for OHL Playoff MVP with his 17 goals in 18 games in the postseason for the London Knights.

Kasper Halttunen finished just under a goal-per-game in this year's playoffs, helping guide the London Knights to the J. Ross Robertson Trophy. 17 goals in 18 playoff games is the most by any import player in OHL history.
The Finnish sniper just kept shooting for the Knights, as pucks were finding their way into the back of the net. Halttunen is most lethal when he is able to get onto his off wing in the left circle, where he often uses his one-timer.
Halttunen scores a large majority of his goals on the one-timer, and he continues to prove how NHL-ready his shot release is.
The San Jose Sharks have found a gem in Halttunen, as they selected him in the second round of the 2023 NHL Draft. He was taken a few picks after Oliver Bonk (PHI) and Easton Cowan (TOR), and now the three of them are teammates. All three stepped up in this year's playoff run, and will likely get a look at making their NHL clubs next season.
Halttunen was an import draft selection by the London Knights, who decided to come over and play his first season in the OHL this year. It did not take him long to learn how to score goals in North American major junior hockey, and he continued to do just that throughout his first season.
Whether he will play another season in London or make the jump to the professional level next season, Halttunen has a bright future as an NHL goal scorer ahead of him.
Sure, he needs to play with players that can get him the puck often, but scoring 17 goals in 18 playoff games isn't just something that every player can do.
