San Jose Sharks second round pick Kasper Halttunen is on a ten game point streak with the London, as the Knights' offence has been firing on all cyllinders.

CHL Import Draft pick Kasper Halttunen has been on fire lately for the London Knights, as he continues his first season playing in North America.

Halttunen was selected in the second round, 36th overall by the San Jose Sharks this past June at the NHL Draft. It wasn't until late in the offseason that it was confirmed that Halttunen would be coming over and joining the team with his CHL rights — the London Knights.

The Finnish winger adds tremendous skill to an offense that was already highly talented to start the season. As long as Halttunen is playing with linemates that can dish the puck, he can play with anyone and produce. London has lots of players that create with their passing vision — Easton Cowan, Denver Barkey, and Jacob Julien — just to name a few.

Halttunen has one specific tool that he has mastered above all — the one-timer.

Not many junior players score as much on the one-timer as Kasper Halttunen does. His teammates can always look to him to be open in the left circle for a one-timer, and he rarely misses.

The 6-foot-3 winger's finishing ability is a large reason why the Sharks selected him so early in the draft, and he has certainly found a way to do that consistently in the OHL.

His shot power and ability to get the shot off in any situation is unmatched. His timing and release is always spot-on. He has mastered the tool of goal-scoring, and that is going to make him a high-value player at the professional level.

Halttunen is in the midst of a 10-game point-streak, including 9 goals and 16 points during that span.

London has found tremendous success offensively as of late, and Halttunen has been a large reason for that. During his point streak, London has a power play percentage of 46%, almost 20% higher than their normal rate. 10 of Halttunen's 18 goals have come on the power play, and his teammates have grown accustomed to feeding him on the left side.

Kasper Halttunen has a bright future at the professional level, but we are lucky that we get to see him score goals at this rate in junior hockey.
