Easton Cowan has officially taken over with the CHL's longest point streak of the season thus far, as he is up to 28 games with 52 points over that span.

The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Easton Cowan in the first round last June. Many were shocked and wide-eyed with the pick, but not people around the OHL. Cowan went exactly where he should have.

Now, Cowan is asserting himself as a top prospect in the entirety of major junior hockey with the stretch that he is on this season. He has 80 points in 46 games this season, and 52 points during his 28 game point streak.

From the draft, to the World Juniors, to losing in the OHL finals with London last season, Cowan had quite a year in 2023. Though he didn't get the result he wanted from his team in the OHL finals or at the World Juniors, Cowan knows what it takes to win. He has learned the hard way, and you can bet that he is ready to make things right in this year's OHL playoffs.

Cowan's constant compete and determination is what makes him a special player, along with his offensive tools. He's a solid two-hundred-foot player and he will make the sacrifices to help his team get the win. He plays on both of London's special teams units, and he is a force on both of them.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have gotten a player that can do it all, and support high-end talent. It is easy to see Cowan lining up with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner for the Leafs one day, because of his projectability. He will do the hard work and retrieve pucks in the corners to set up his linemates, but he can also score when he has the opportunities.

The London Knights are always a wagon in the OHL, they always seem to have a chance to win. Lead by Easton Cowan and Denver Barkey up front, the Knights are in phenomenal hands heading into the postseason.
