Philadelphia Flyers prospects Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk are OHL champions once again.
The London Knights claimed their second straight league title in dominant fashion, capping off a stellar postseason run that saw them lose just one game and outscore opponents 91-43.
Barkey, who missed most of the championship series after suffering a high ankle sprain on April 26, returned for the decisive game and hoisted the J. Ross Robertson Cup alongside his teammates.
Bonk, the dependable two-way defenseman, was a workhorse throughout the playoffs. Logging heavy minutes, anchoring the blue line, and contributing offensively, Bonk continued to show why he’s one of the Flyers’ most promising young defensemen.
Together, Barkey and Bonk helped steer the Knights through a dominant regular season and an even more impressive playoff campaign. Their chemistry, work ethic, and composure under pressure defined London’s game, with Barkey’s speed and vision up front paired perfectly with Bonk’s control and poise on the back end.
Both players are expected to attend Flyers preseason camps this summer, where they’ll look to make strong impressions as part of Philadelphia’s growing youth movement. For now, though, they’ll savor a hard-earned championship—another major milestone in two very bright careers.
