- Buffalo Sabres prospect Matt Savoie is heading to Rochester for a conditioning stint. The ninth overall selection in the 2022 draft is unable to play in the AHL this season unless it's for a two-week conditioning stint.
- The Detroit Red Wings are putting Sebastian Cossa in a position to thrive. After playing in the ECHL as a 20-year-old last season, Cossa is in the AHL and has fared well in his first two games alongside Michael Hutchinson.
- The Dallas Stars are the NHL team profile of the week as they examine prospects with the Texas Stars. Jacob and Patrick give the 411 on Logan Stankoven, Mavrik Bourque and Christian Kyrou.
- Vasily Podkolzin of the Abbotsford Canucks is the player of the week. Podkolzin is off to a hot start in the AHL with seven points in his first six games.
