The last two games of the QMJHL games of the regular season are ahead of us this weekend, and the results of these games are 'make or break' for two teams.
The Gatineau Olympiques and the Saint John Sea Dogs are battling for the final playoff spot in the league. The Olympiques stand ahead for now in 16th place, sitting three points ahead. However, should the Sea Dogs come back tie it. It is important to note that the Saint John Sea Dogs have six more wins than the Olympiques. As such, should Saint John match the Olympiques in points by season's end, they would get in.
Another race to watch is the chase for the clinch the central division. The Drummondville Voltigeurs is ahead at the moment with 84 points. On the other side, the Shawinigan Cataractes have 80. Should the Cataractes win the next two games in regulation and the Voltigeurs fail to register a point, the Cataractes would officially clinch the division. If the Voltigeurs get a point across these next two games, they will clinch instead.
