The third week of QMJHL hockey this season has concluded. With its conclusion, here's the third edition of the weekly power rankings.

The top five remains intact, however down the list there's some pretty strong changes.

Namely the Cape Breton Eagles who have dethroned the Val-d'Or Foreurs after the contender hopefuls have begun the season 0-5-1.

Biggest Risers

  • Val-d'Or Foreurs (▲4): Starting the season in the basement, an opportune win and a swarm of losses to fellow underlings have led to a massive jump upwards for the Foreurs.
  • Sherbrooke (▲3): Rising by three spots in back-to-back weeks, the Phoenix are on fire -- winning their last five games.
  • Rouyn-Noranda (▲3): The Huskies regain the lost ground from last week and then some, thanks to two victories.

Biggest Fallers

  • Cape Breton (▼3): The Eagles have been grounded to start the season. You can excuse a bad start, but this is unbelievable.
  • Baie-Comeau (▼3): The Drakkar have an off-week, picking up losses in their two games.
  • Acadie-Bathurst (▼2): The Titan erase their progress up the board last week after picking up two losses and a win to start October.
