In the match between the Chicoutimi Saguenéens and the Quebec Remparts yesterday, both teams saw massive goaltending performances. The winning goaltender, Chicoutimi's Raphael Precourt had 24 saves on 25 shots, meanwhile 2025 NHL draft eligible Louis-Antoine Denault of the Remparts let in three goals, albeit on 39 shots.
The Huskies two key players in the team's win over the Volts were RW Thomas Verdon (2+1), who got points on all three of the Huskies goals, and 2025 NHL draft prospect Samuel Meloche who stopped 37 of 39.
While C Mael St-Denis' two goals helped the team seperate themselves from Sherbrooke, they can owe their win to the play of goaltender Mathis Langevin who stopped 38 of 39, keeping them in the game in the first place.
