With three points (2+1), forward Cole Burbidge was the difference maker for the Eagles as they took down the Charlottetown Islanders. Goaltender Alexis Cournoyer continues his hot play with 27 saves on 28 shots and an assist.
Victoriaville Tigres (1) - Moncton Wildcats (10)
The QMJHL's No. 1 team, the Moncton Wildcats, made quick work of the last place Victoriaville Tigres with a 10-1 victory. Potential Top 10 NHL draft prospect Caleb Desnoyers added three goals and one assist to his season totals. NHL prospect right winger Juraj Pekarcik (St. Louis Blues, 0+4) and defenseman Etienne Morin (Calgary, 1+2) had multi-point nights as well. Meanwhile, draft re-entry candidate left winger Julius Sumpf scored a night-best six points with a goal and four assists.
Rimouski Océanic (5) - Baie-Comeau Drakkar (1)
Upcoming Memorial Cup hosts, the Rimouski Océanic, secure the win over 2024 QMJHL championship finalists, the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. Anaheim Ducks prospect Alexandre Blais (1+1) and right winger Maxime Coursol (1+0) both notched their 20th goals of the season in the victory, which also saw two point games from Philadelphia Flyers prospect defenseman Spencer Gill (0+2) and Vegas Golden Knights prospect winger Mathieu Cataford (0+2).
As for major disciplinary measures, Rimouski forward Thomas Belzil and Baie-Comeau Drakkar forward Skogan Schrott both received game misconducts for fighting.
Gatineau Olympiques (3) - Sherbrooke Phoenix (2)
Olympiques goaltender Iain Wintle's 27 save night plays spoiler as the Olympiques upset the Phoenix with a 3-2 win. Wintle has been a difference maker the last three games, stopping all but four goals on 73 shots over that span -- for a .945 save percentage.
Quebec Remparts (2) - Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (7)
With points from all but four skaters, the Huskies trample the Remparts 7-2. 2026 NHL draft prospect Lars Steiner (1+1) picked up his 20th goal of his impressive rookie season. Meanwhile, overager Antonin Verreault was able to pick up his 30th of the year, marking him just six goals shy of the career high he set last season.
Saint John Sea Dogs (1) - Shawinigan Cataractes (4)
The Sea Dogs losing streak falls to 11 games with a loss to the Cataractes. Shawinigan forward Jiri Klima netted two goals, allowing him to hit 31 points -- matching his totals from last season in the same amount of games.
