    Last night

Cape Breton Eagles (4) - Saint John Sea Dogs (2)

Eagles overage centerman Jacob Newcombe was the leading man for the Eagles' offensive surge last night with a goal and an assist in their win over the Saint John Sea Dogs. He wasn't the only Eagles' star posting a triple-point night, though, as New Jersey Devils prospect right winger Cam Squires had three helpers.

    Moncton Wildcats (3) - Halifax Mooseheads (1)

Despite yet another strong performance from Mooseheads goaltender Jacob Steinman (26/28) against his former team, the No. 1 Wildcats endured for the 3-1 win. Wildcats star forward Vincent Collard was able to score his 20th goal of the season last night, and former Moosehead star Markus Vidicek potted his 30th goal of the year.

As for the rap sheet, both Halifax Mooseheads youngster Daniel Walters and Moncton Wildcats forward Maxime Cote were served game misconducts for fighting.

    Acadie-Bathurst Titan (4) - Charlottetown Islanders (2)

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan beat the Charlottetown Islanders 4-2, thanks to big nights from goaltender Josh Fleming (22/24) and scoring up and down the lineup. However, the bigger story of the game wasn't the scoresheet.

Charlottetown Islanders forward Ross Campbell was admitted to the hospital after his head hit the ice during a fight in the third period. Thankfully, he's already been released from the hospital.

Campbell and Nikita Voyaga from Charlottetown and Blake Pilgrim-Edwards and Dawson Sharkey received game misconducts for the fights.
