    Last night

    Halifax Mooseheads (1) - Quebec Remparts (0)

The Halifax Mooseheads haven't been the same team that they were at the beginning of the season. They started off strong, reaching as high No. 2 in weeks three and four, before coming down to earth. However, with the play of newly acquired overage goaltender Jacob Steinman from Moncton, could he will the team back into the contendership window by season's end? Well, last night the Cambridge, Ontario native picked up a 40 save shut-out against the Quebec Remparts -- bringing his save percentage to a .942 since joining Halifax 10 games ago.

Also of note, the Mooseheads' lone goal came from 2026 NHL draft eligible RW Amelio Santini and was assisted by 2025 NHL draft eligible LW Shawn Carrier (0+1) and recent trade acquisition C Quinn Kennedy (0+1), who is over a point-per-game since joining the Mooseheads (18 in 17).

On the other side, 2025 NHL Draft eligible goaltender Louis-Antoine Denault has to be commended for his performance, picking up a .962 save percentage over 25 saves.

    Acadie-Bathurst Titan (4) - Chicoutimi Saguenéens (7)

After a 75-point draft year campaign, Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxim Masse's follow-up season has been underwhelming to say the least. Bogged down by an injury in October, he's hasn't really had the opportunity to get going. Well, safe to say he may be back in form after potting three goals and three assists last night against the Titan.

Also with strong games from the Sags are C Thomas Desruisseaux (1+5), LW Emmanuel Vermette (1+1) and 2025 NHL draft eligible defensemen Alex Huang (0+2) and Jonathan Prud'homme (0+2).

As for the Titan, the team saw big nights from LW Blake Pilgrim-Edwards (2+1), 2026 NHL draft eligible LW Lynden Larsen (0+2) and 2027 NHL draft eligible Liam Arsenault (0+2)

    Saint John Sea Dogs (2) - Val-d'Or Foreurs (7)

Noah Reinhart started the season off on the wrong foot. He would only notch four points with the Cape Breton Eagles before getting dealt to the Val-d'Or Foreurs. Since joining the Foreurs, he's been instrumental to the team's offense, with 2025 NHL draft eligibles Nathan Brisson and Philippe Veilleux. Tonight, was no different as that line helped carry the team well past the Saint John Sea Dogs, with Reinhart picking up four points (2+2), Brisson amassing three (1+2) and Veilleux two (2+0).

The Sea Dogs continue to be run by their young core, with 2026 NHL draft eligibles C William Yared (1+0), LW Dylan Rozzi (0+1) and 2025 NHL draft eligible Olivier Groulx (0+1) picking up points tonight.

    Gatineau Olympiques (3) - Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (4) - SO

Another overager who has been impressive since getting dealt is Blainville import LW Egor Goriunov. He sits at a goal-per-game pace since joining the Armada thanks to a hat-trick tonight against Gatineau. He's fit in nicely with Vincent Desjardins (0+2, tonight) and 2025 NHL draft eligible Justin Carbonneau (0+2, tonight) on the power play and helped anchor the line with Carbonneau and fellow 2025 NHL draft eligible C Mateo Nobert.

While an unfortunate loss for the Olympiques, overage defenseman Taos Jordan can be thankful to have set a personal best three point night (0+3), a feat he hadn't accomplished since joining the QMJHL and the Olympiques in October.

    Shawinigan Cataractes (6) - Victoriaville Tigres (4)

When the Calgary Flames selected then USHL forward Matvei Gridin in the first round of the 2024 NHL draft, they were getting a dynamic offensive player. Well, after some adjustment to the QMJHL, Gridin has remained a key player for the Shawinigan Cataractes this season. Last night, the right winger amassed three assists to help the Cataractes best the Tigres.

Despite the loss, this game was an uncharacteristically good game from the Tigres -- who've otherwise struggled mightily all season. The team got multi-point nights from RW Alexis Bourque (0+3) and overage LW Olivier Houde (2+0), but unfortunately for them, it was all for naught.

Cape Breton Eagles (0) - Moncton Wildcats (3)

Sitting behind Jacob Steinman then Mathis Rousseau, Detroit Red Wings goalie prospect Rudy Guimond hasn't had the runway he deserves in Moncton, as he secures his first career shutout and brings his season save percentage to an absurd .947.

He blanked the red hot Cape Breton Eagles, who started  the similarly exceptional Alexis Cournoyer (32/35).

The Wildcats benefitted from a two goal night for potential Top 10 2025 NHL draft selection C Caleb Desnoyers and points from NHL affiliated prospects C Gabe Smith (1+0, Utah) and D Dyllan Gill (0+1, Tampa).
