Victoriaville Tigres defenseman Maddox Labre's season may have ended a lot sooner than anticipated as his team missed the playoffs, however his off-season has gotten off to a strong start -- snagging a commitment to Ohio State University.

Labre, 18, netted 19 points (3+16) across 61 games this season with the Tigres and is widely considered a strong candidate for the 2025 NHL draft.

Labre was recently ranked 105th on NHL Central Scouting's final draft rankings, and has also been named as high as 68th by Elite Prospects on their most recent ranking.
