A surprisingly good season followed by a quiet summer will lead to hopes of another good year for the Volts.
The 2025-26 campaign was a surprising one for the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
Picked by many to finish in the bottom half of the standings, they put together a very strong defensive team, with a few offensive flashes, and fought tooth and nail to the very last weekend right at the top of the Western Conference.
Unfortunately, they only ended up in third, and couldn't replicate that success in the playoffs. They ran up against Philippe Veilleux and a hot Val-d'Or team, and got bounced in five games.

Top scorers such as Louis-Felix Bourque, Renard Poulin, Dylan Dumont, Filip Kovalcik and Yoan Tasse are sticking around, while Jan Larys will anchor the goal after a very strong season.
The only real key addition will be import Sebastian Taliga, who was signed recently after being named the 69th pick of this year's import draft.
While there will be some decisions to be made around who this team's three overagers are, they have some strong options.
Really, overagers Jesse Allecia, Matteo Rotondi and Marc-Olivier Beaudry will be some of the only key players departing, and otherwise this roster will look very similar to last year.
The biggest loss this team will face, though, is head coach Sylvian Favreau, who's left to take a role with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch as an assistant. Favreau's defensive system was key to the team's success last season.
Replacing him will be Mathieu Gravel, who has served as an assistant on Drummondville for a few years, so ideally not much should change in that department.
As a whole, this Volts team will look very similar to last year's, and they'll hope they can build off of last year's success.
