A loaded-up Remparts roster is ready to make some noise in the Eastern conference.
The Quebec Remparts had a very solid 2025-26 campaign, and most importantly, it was led by a lot of young and returning players.
They've upped the ante on that with a super aggressive and exciting off-season, adding some big names and looking on the verge of being a premier contender in 2026-27.
But, to do that, they'll have to find a few answers at key positions, and of course hope for the continued progression of some of their best young talents.

(Photo: Mike Bernard)The two names that jump off the page in terms of additions are, of course, two star 2027 NHL draft eligibles in Carter Meyer and James Scantlebury. Those two will provide a ton of dynamite and ability to the forward group, one that was already very solid.
That's on top of a pretty intriguing trade acquisition of Maddox Labre, where if they can get him committed and ready to play, he could be a great pickup as well.
There, of course, still are some key departures. Cal Uens, Mathias Loiselle and Antoine Dorion are out as overagers, as is blueliner Charlie Morrison, who's leaving for school early.
That being said, there are a ton of fantastic returning players in this group that should really elevate the level of the team. Maddox Dagenais, Patrick Deniger, Nikita Ovcharov, Nathan Quinn, Mavrick Rousseau-Hamel, Alexandre Taillefer, Egan Beveridge and more make up a really exciting core, and a number of those players have the potential to be elite at their position in the QMJHL.
There's probably room to fit in another defenseman or two before the playoffs for this team to really take off, but make no mistake, Quebec is in it to make some noise this season.
