A loaded up Sea Dogs team are pushing all their chips in this season.
Last season certainly felt like a step forward for the Saint John Sea Dogs in their rebuild, but this upcoming year should feel like rocket fuel in comparison.
The Sea Dogs have spent the summer big game hunting, adding a number of exciting pieces through both trades and signings.
And with a decent returning cast of young talent, Saint John is absolutely poised to take a big jump in the standings in 2026-27.

(Photo: Jamie Lee Gouthro)Obviously, this is a group built around top pick and top NHL draft pick Alexis Joseph, who's coming off of a 24-goal, 60-point rookie season and now enters his draft year as a potential top-10 pick in the 2026 NHL draft.
Other talent such as Olivier Groulx, Dylan Rozzi, Alexander Donovan and Cameron Chartrand are sticking around as well, giving this group a legitimately strong cast of returning players.
But, the real fun comes with the acquisitions. Jamie Glance gives this team another potential first-rounder, while Oliver Ozogany brings a ton of upside as an import.
Samuel Meloche cost a lot, but will give the Sea Dogs one of the best goaltenders in the league, while they've also swung deals for Thomas Charbonneau, Ryan Howard and Brandon Delarosbil.
It's clear this is an all-in year for Saint John, with it being the potential final QMJHL season for a number of their key players. The Maritimes will be tough to navigate this year with the amount of good talent out there, but Saint John seems poised to go as far as their players can take them.
