The Phoenix hope to be fairly competitive, bringing back a number of key contributors.
The Sherbrooke Phoenix had a decent 2025-26 campaign with a fairly young roster, but couldn't get past the first round of the playoffs.
Now, they'll look to make that next step into becoming a true contender, and are returning a good portion of that team from last year as they look to grow together.
With that, there haven't been a ton of major moves this summer, just a few small things around the edges. Through trade, Brandon Delarosbil, Mathieu Perron, Loic Poirier and Cameron Haye were moved out, with just Vincent Croteau coming in.

(Photo: Vincent Lévesque Rousseau)Through signings, Kurt Beck and Kaiden Donia have been added via the American pipeline, while Daniyar Aibatov and Ilya Kuzminykh join the returning Ilya Kolmakov to fill out the import spots on this team.
Elsewhere, many key players return, including Kolmakov, Louis-Alex Tremblay, Thomas Rousseau, Jayden Plouffe, Florent Houle and Kyan Labbe. That's each of this team's six leading scorers from last season, as well as its starting goalie.
It's rare for teams in junior hockey to return that much talent, especially teams who were comfortably mid-table last season.
The Sherbrooke Phoenix seem poised to vault due to that internal improvement with each of those guys being a year older, and having some playoff experience under their belts. How much they improve will dictate how far this team can go in the new campaign.
