The Victoriaville Tigres and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar have made a trade!

The Tigres acquire goaltender Mathis Lacroix-Goulet from the Drakkar in exchange for fellow goaltender Alexandre Lauzier and a 10th round pick in 2025.

Lacroix-Goulet, 19, joins the Tigres after putting up a .902 save percentage across 10 games with the Longueuil Collège-Français of the QJHL, also serving as an alternate captain.

The 5-foot-11 goalkeeper played just one game in the QMJHL during the 2022-23 season with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, stopping 46/49 for a .939 save percentage.

Lacroix-Goulet joined the team this pre-season as a camp invitee, getting into parts of two games and registering a .912 save percentage.

As for the Drakkar's new add, Lauzier also played in the QJHL this season with the Côte-du-Sud Everest. The 19-year old put up an .880 save percentage over five games so far with the team.

He, too, has only one game of QMJHL experience, dating back to the 2021-22 season where he stopped 16/20 for an .800 save percentage with the Shawinigan Cataractes.

Meanwhile Lauzier joined Victoriaville in 2023 as a camp invite, but did not get the opportunity to play with the Tigres this pre-season.
