The Rimouski Océanic have acquired 6-foot-4 goaltender Mathis Langevin from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, in exchange for a 2025 third (originally from Bathurst) and two 2025 sevenths (including one from the Drummondville Voltigeurs).

Langevin, 18, has posted a 3-4-0 record across eight games, netting a strong .914 save percentage with the Titan this season. He was originally acquired by the team this off-season from the Shawinigan Cataractes for a sixth round pick.

As of right now, this means that the Océanic are running a three goalie tandem between overager Samuel St-Hilaire (.880 over 16), 17-year old goaltender William Lacelle (.921 over 15) and Langevin.

Given St-Hilaire's poor performance this season, the former Team Canada world junior goaltender very well could get dealt should the team feel that they can rely on the goaltending chops of Lacelle and Langevin. However, the Memorial Cup hosts may keep onto St-Hilaire, as neither of the other two have experience starting in the QMJHL.

Not to forget, the team still has Habs overage prospect goaltender Quentin Miller, who has missed all of this season so far with injury.
