After signing just a few days ago, 2025 NHL Draft eligible centerman Robin Benoit suited up in his first game with the Sherbrooke Phoenix last night, going point-less.
Benoit, 17, spent the start of the season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the BCHL where he scored nine points (6+3) over 12 games, as well as playing a single game with the USHL's Green Bay Gamblers.
He's one of the QMJHL's recent migrants since the repealing of the restrictions on college eligibility for major junior players.
Benoit is a commit to the University of Nebraska-Omaha for the 2026-27 season.
He was taken by Sherbrooke 56th overall in the 2023 QMJHL Draft.
