Team Latvia's camp roster is now up on EliteProspects, and it features a number of current QMJHL stars, and even a QMJHL alumnus.

Leading the list is Saint John Sea Dogs left winger Eriks Mateiko.

Mateiko, 18. has 19 points (14+5) over 23 games as the captain of the Sea Dogs.

The 6-foot-6 forward was the third round pick by the Washington Capitals in the 2024 NHL Draft

He represented Latvia at the World Juniors last season, scoring a single goal across five games. Additionally, he also wore the 'C' for Latvia at the Under-18s in 2023

Linards Feldbergs of the Sherbrooke Phoenix

Backstopping the squad is current Sherbrooke Phoenix goaltender Linards Feldbergs.

Feldbergs, 19, joined the team this season via the CHL Import Draft and has been impressive so far -- posting an .899 save percentage across 22 games with the team.

He had played one game with Latvia at last year's tournament, posting a .778 save percentage.

Peteris Bulans of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens

On the blueline, the team called on Chicoutimi Saguenéens defender Peteris Bulans.

Bulans, 19, is a three year QMJHL veteran and has 16 points (2+14) across 29 games this season.

He, too, is a returner, potting two points (1+1) over five games at last years tournament.

Rouyn-Noranda Huskies point-man Harijs Cjunskis got invited as well.

Cjunskis, 18, has two points (1+1) across 30 games with the Huskies this year.

This is the first time he'll have the opportunity to play for the U-20 squad, although he represented Latvia twice at the Under-18s.

Another familiar name to have received an invite is former Charlottetown Islanders goaltender Aksels Ozols.
