The Chicoutimi Saguenéens saw a new player on their blueline in last night's game against the Moncton Wildcats as they had signed defenseman Julien Wasmer.

Wasmer, 19, has been playing in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees this season where he's had three points (1+2) across 20 games.

Born in Montreal, he joins the Sags as an undrafted free agent having never been drafted to the QMJHL.

Wasmer is committed to join the University of Maine next season.

He joins Charlottetown's Jude Herron as the second UMaine commit to join the QMJHL since the allowing of CHL players to keep NCAA eligiblity.
