The Rimouski Océanic have acquired David-Alexandre Coulombe from the Victoriaville Tigres for a 2026 eighth round QMJHL draft pick.

Coulombe, 19, suited up for two games with Victoriaville last year, spending the  majority of the season in the Quebec Junior Hockey League with the Princeville Titan. There, he scored 22 goals and 16 assists for 38 points across 32 games.

The left winger was originally drafted by the Gatineau Olympiques in 2022 in the fifth round. Coloumbe's player rights were dealt to Victoriaville in a one for one exchange for Benjamin Chabot, who would suit up for a single game with the Olympiques last year.

"David-Alexandre is a big guy who is capable of scoring goals," said Danny Dupont, the general manager of the Rimouski Océanic. "Now, we want to see if he can bring that aspect of the game to our league."
