The Gatineau Olympiques have traded Elliot Dube and their 2027 sixth round pick to the Saint John Sea Dogs in exchange for Saint John's 2026 second rounder and the return of Gatineau's 2025 sixth round pick.

Dube, 17, has yet to have played any QMJHL games since his 32nd overall selection in the 2023 QMJHL Draft, but he netted 28 points (11+17) across 42 games at the Quebec U-18 AAA level with the Collège Notre-Dame Albatros. He would lead his team in more ways than one, serving as one of the alternate captains, but also as the goals and points leader.

Given this, Dube may be a player to watch who can potentially make the jump into the full time roster for Saint John this season.

This season will be Dube's first year of his eligibility for the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
