Rouyn-Noranda Huskies forward Remi Gelinas might have been the biggest QMJHL free agent signing of the season.

The 19-year-old Hawkesbury, ON native has 22 points, of which 15 are goals, across his first 13 QMJHL games since joining the league from the CCHL.

After once unable to stick with a team in the BCHL, the QMJHL has become the golden path for Gelinas' development -- a path that has led him to the NCAA as he's committed to Clarkson University for the 2026/27 season.

His commitment mentions he'll join Clarkson at the end of his junior tenure, meaning that QMJHL fans will likely experience one more season of Gelinas' before he moves on to the next level.

He's the second QMJHL affiliated player set to join Clarkson, following Blainville-Boisbriand forward, 2025 NHL draft eligible Rafael Cloutier.

He also becomes the third Huskies player with a commitment, following defensemen Ty Higgins and Alex Carr.
