Gelinas, 19, joins the Huskies after potting 50 points (27+23) over 25 games with the Hawkesbury Hawks of the CCHL, where he's played the last three seasons.

He tried to make the jump to higher competition last season, joining the BCHL's Powell River Kings (4 in 14) and the Nanaimo Clippers (4 in 16), before returning back to Hawkesbury this season.

Gelinas joins the Huskies as an undrafted free agent and currently holds no NCAA commitments, however his performance in the CCHL combined with the increase spotlight in Rouyn-Noranda could be enough to field interest.
