The former Sudbury Wolves forward will add some size to the Charlottetown forwards.
As the start of the 2026-27 QMJHL season is right around the corner, teams are working at putting the finishing touches on their rosters before the puck drops starting this weekend.
The Charlottetown Islanders are the latest to make an addition to their squad, adding Ontario-born forward KJ Eccleston as a free agent on Monday.
Eccleston, 19, spent last season split between the NOJHL's Timmins Rock, CCHL's Brockville Braves and OHL's Sudbury Wolves.

The 6-foot-4 centre did not record a point in his seven OHL contests last season, but did grab an assist in two games in 2024-25.
Eccleston will bring some size and potentially a bit of playmaking ability to the depth of Charlottetown's forward core, which will appreciate the boost amidst a retooling season.
The Brampton, Ont., native currently has no active USports or NCAA commitment for the future, but a breakout QMJHL campaign could see some schools come calling.
