Yesterday, Pinnacle Hockey Management announced that their client, Moncton Wildcats goaltender Jacob Steinman, has committed to play Division-I hockey at Bowling Green State University.

Steinman, 20, has a .929 save percentage across 17 games so far this season on the no. 1 ranked Moncton Wildcats.

He joined the team for the 2022-23 season as an 18-year old as a free agent after posting a .922 save percentage over 29 games with the Ayr Centennials of the GOJHL

Despite his late arrival to the QMJHL and team, Steinman has quickly jumped up the team's leaderboard as he's fifth all-time in goalie games played.

Steinman marks the first player from the QMJHL to officially announce their commitment to play Division-I college hockey after the NCAA's ruling which allowed CHL players to maintain college eligibility.

Joining him in Bowling Green is Jake Sloan of Tri-City, Tanner Scott of Victoria and Brayden Crompton of Spokane.
