Last season, the Halifax Mooseheads had four NHL affiliated players on their roster.
Now, they have zero.
Jordan Dumais (Columbus) and Jake Furlong (San Jose) will graduate to pro hockey. Meanwhile, the Mooseheads dealt Dylan MacKinnon (Nashville) and Mathieu Cataford (Vegas) were dealt to Moncton and Rimouski, respectively, for futures.

Mathis Rousseau will likely be back for his overage season. Last season, he had a .925 save percentage across 44 games. He was also Team Canada's starter at the World Juniors last season, rocking a .912 over 5 games.
That said, he was rumoured to be traded to Moncton this past off-season, although Rousseau is still here.
Behind him is 19-year old goalie Jack Milner, who is coming off of a strong rookie season, securing an .894 over 26 games.

Speaking of overagers, they will roll with defenseman Brady Schultz (57 in 67) and centerman Braeden McPhee (6 in 56).

Joining Schultz on the backend are returner Owen Phillips (19 in 67) and import Carlos Handel.
The 17-year old Handel had 23 points (6+17) in 28 games playing in the Under-18 Swedish Regional Juniors, and had 2 points (1+1) over 4 games at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup last month.

Inside the Mooseheads' front twelve, includes returners right winger Liam Crosby (22 in 32) and centerman Lou Levesque (33 in 44).

Meanwhile, the team should also expect big seasons from 2025 NHL draft candidates, centerman Liam Kilfoil (20 in 62) and the newly acquired left winger Shawn Carrier (11 in 59) from Moncton.
