Overager Jonathan Fauchon took the league by storm, being the only player to mark triple-digit point totals with 103 (46+57) through 64 games.

As a result, he was named the winner of the Michel-Briere Trophy for most valuable player to his team. He's the Rimouski Océanic's third MVP over the past six seasons, with former NHL first overall pick Alexis Lafreniere of the New York Rangers winning the other two.

Fauchon becomes just the ninth non-NHL drafted prospect to win the award, with the most recents being Cedric Desruisseaux in 2020-21, Montreal Canadiens skater Alex Barre-Boulet in 2017-18 and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Yanni Gourde in 2011-12. He'll join Providence College next season.
