Fresh off of the official announcement of the sale and relocation of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to St. John's, Newfoundland, the new team has released a bunch of new information and promotional material.
Under the team's X/Twitter account @QMJHL_NL, the team has released two promotional videos, on the QMJHL's return to Newfoundland and highlighting players from the province in the league's history.
The team also announced its season ticket prices for the inaugural season, starting at $464 dollars, with over $100 dollar discounts for both students and seniors (60 and over).
Compared to Acadie-Bathurst's season tickets for the 2024-25 season, the new team's base season ticket package is over $50 dollars cheaper, however Bathurst had them beat squarely on all youth packages -- including $119.99 student packages and $59.99 for children.
For the best seats in the house, you'd be looking at coughing up $624 dollars.
However, the higher ticket prices are no surprise, given the costly travel for both the new team and existing franchises coming into the island.
Season tickets go on sale tomorrow, December 21st, 2024 at noon.
Alongside the earlier press release from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan ownership on the team's sale and relocation, SPS Entertainment -- the name of the ownership group -- announced themselves that they have purchased the team.
In the press release, commissioner Mario Cecchini gave high praise of the team's outlook.
"St. John's is a market that we have kept an eye on since the departure of the Fog Devils more than 15 years ago,” said Cecchini. "The ownership group is solid, the arena is outstanding, and Newfoundland and Labrador fans love hockey."
