Bill Zonnon's rise this season to first round considerations for the 2025 NHL draft was meteoric. Not to discount his 58-point season last year (18+40), but he was considered by most as a second or third round player at season's start.
However, as the season would progress, and despite his snubbing from the 2025 CHL/USA Prospects Challenge, Zonnon would quickly rise up the boards to be considered a high second rounder and now even ranked 15th by our very own Tony Ferrari.
As Zonnon is preparing for the draft, attending the NHL combine, he already has found a new home for next season-- getting dealt from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada for three first round picks and 2024 25th overall pick Samuel Rheault.

Zonnon, 18, is coming off of an 83-point (28+55) campaign, playing in every single regular season game for the second season in a row. Zonnon, doesn't turn down his game in the playoffs either, scoring 16 points (8+8) through 13 games this season and potting 33 points (16+17) in 32 over his career.
As for Rheault, he had zero points through seven games as a 16-year-old, while scoring 57 points (23+34) over 41 games at the Under-18 level in Quebec. He is a 2027 NHL draft eligible.
Should Carbonneau not leave for the NCAA, as is rumoured, the Armada will likely be the toughest team in the QMJHL and potentially challenge for the toughest in the CHL.
