Team Canada has already named a number of QMJHL prospects to its camp for the World Juniors this December, and now they've added another.
2023 NHL first round pick Bradly Nadeau is set to take on the world in Ottawa as he'll join Team Canada after the team's camp concludes on Dec 15th.
Nadeau, 19, has amassed 12 points (5+7) through 20 games with the Chicago Wolves, the Carolina Hurricanes' AHL system.
Drafted out of the NCAA's Maine Black Bears, the 30th overall pick had 46 points (19+27) over 37 games.
Before stepping foot in college, Nadeau was a two-time BCHL champion with the Penticton Vees, scoring 159 points (65+94) across just 103 games with the Vees.
Nadeau was previously drafted by the Rimouski Océanic in the seventh round of the 2021 QMJHL Draft. Given the Océanic are the 2025 Memorial Cup hosts this season, it isn't unreasonable to speculate on the possibility of Nadeau joining them after the tournament is over.
However, if the Canes think he has a real chance to make the NHL's squad, he could very will avoid the QMJHL entirely.
