The QMJHL published its team of the week for the first week of the regular season.

In net, is Drummondville's Riley Mercer. The overager posted posted two wins this week, averaging a .955 save percentage and a 1.5 goals against average,

Quebec's Charlie Morrison and Bathurst's Francois-James Buteau are the two defensemen on this week's team. Morrison potted three assists, all in a 5-2 victory over Victoriaville last Saturday. Meanwhile, Buteau tallied two goals and maintained a +5 across his two games last week.

Up front are overagers Vince Elie (Shawinigan) and Jonathan Fauchon (Blainville), and import Lars Steiner (Rouyn-Noranda). Elie and Steiner put up matching totals, both scoring exactly three goals and four assists over two games. Fauchon, on the other hand, marked four goals and two assists over two games -- including a hat trick.

Both Charlie Morrison and Lars Steiner will be eligible for the 2026 NHL Draft, and should be names to watch if they are able to put up performances like those this week at such a young age.
