Gabriel Seguin had a pair of goals as Gatineau took down Halifax.
Week seven of the 2026-27 QMJHL season saw just one game on Thursday, as the action stayed in Gatineau for one extra night after Wednesday's top prospects game.
The Halifax Mooseheads came to town, but the home team prevailed through a solid team performance.

Zakary Horvat-Edouard would equal a few minutes later, a power-play goal that would find its way past Carson Mertz, who pulled out a few spectacular saves in this one. That 1-1 score would hold into the first intermission, with the shots even at 15-15 in a busy first period.
The second was pretty quiet until Gabriel Seguin put home his ninth of the season, giving the Olympiques their first lead of the night, something they wouldn't relinquish.
In the third, Seguin would double down, giving him double digits in the goal column on the season. That's good for a tie for fifth in the league as the overage sniper keeps driving the offence for Gatineau.
Finn Barton would add an empty netter for his first of the season, and Gatineau walked away with a very solid home victory.
Danai Shaiikov made a tidy 36 saves in the victory, picking up player of the night honours, just beating out Seguin.
