    Remparts Sign Highly-Touted Defenseman Taillefer

    Another day, another player.

Today, Mikael Lalancette of Le Soleil has reported that the Quebec Remparts have come to terms with their 2024 seventh round pick defenseman Alexandre Taillefer.

Taillefer, 17, has spent the last two seasons with Lac St-Louis of the top Quebec U-18 AAA league -- scoring 14 points (3+11) across 14 games to start his 2024-25 campaign.

Despite getting drafted in the seventh round, Taillefer fell due to his intent on going down the college route.

Notably, he was also drafted in the USHL as well by the Chicago Steel, but hadn't yet signed a deal with them.

He'll join the Remparts' young core which already includes Maddox Dagenais, Jayden Rousseau, Patrick Deniger and Charlie Morrison.
