Alongside adding Jonathan Fauchon from Blainville, the Rimouski Océanic have acquired left winger Mael Lavigne from the Victoriaville Tigres in exchange for Victoriaville's first round pick, which the team had just re-acquired, and a fourth round pick, both in 2025.
Lavigne, 19, is currently Top 25 in points with 34 points (12+22) over 32 games with the Tigres -- good enough for second on the team.
He currently has no affiliations to the NCAA nor any NHL teams as of yet, however he did appear on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary players to watch list as a potential sixth or seventh round pick as a double draft re-entry.
