The Saint John Sea Dogs announced via Twitter/X that they have let go of left winger Dennis Lominac.
Lominac, 18, joined the team this off-season after being assigned to the Sea Dogs via his former team, the OHL's Sarnia Sting.
"Dennis is a player that came onto our radar by his feistiness, speed, and competitiveness,” said Sea Dogs General Manager Anthony Stella on his signing.
Although after just seven games, Lominac is on his way out -- failing to register a point.
He first signed in the CHL with Sarnia after a strong U-16 AAA season with Compuware, scoring 19 points (12+7) over 15 games.
He would play in 58 games with the Sting in 2023-24, notching five points (3+2).
"We felt he deserves the opportunity to play more, so this decision helps him in that regard," said Sting general manager Dylan Seca on the move at the time.
It's unclear what the next step is for the American born forward, but considering he's only a 2006-born, he'll likely have some interest from other junior teams around the Canada and the United States.
