The Shawinigan Cataractes have made a move today to deal goaltender Owen Bresson to the Halifax Mooseheads, in exchange for a third round pick.
Bresson, 18, was a mid-season acquisition last year out of the BCHL, putting up a .905 save percentage through 17 games since his arrival in Shawinigan.
The move gives the goaltender the opportunity to start, which wasn't afforded to him in Shawinigan. After this move, it is expected that the Mooseheads will roll with Bresson as the starter and 2026 NHL draft eligible Nick Cirka as the backup.
