The Chicoutimi Saguenéens have added goaltender Jacob Brochu from the Sherbrooke Phoenix in exchange for a 2027 seventh round pick (originally from Sherbrooke).
Brochu, 19, has an .866 over 14 games with the Phoenix this season.
The Boisbriand, QC native joined the Phoenix last season as an undrafted free agent and ended up playing in 17 regular season games with the squad with an .873. He also iced in six playoff games, posting an impressive .905 save percentage.
Brochu has no NCAA or NHL affiliation as of yet.
