The QMJHL will have 10 players represent the league and their country at the upcoming Hlinka Gretzky tournament.
The Hlinka-Gretzky is one of the two top under-18 tournaments during the season, with the other being the Under-18 World Hockey Championships in May. It will be, for many, the first glimpse of a vast number of the top draft eligibles for the 2025 NHL Draft.
That said, it is of note that the tournament rules do not permit the inclusion of 2006-born eligibles, even those who would be under eighteen for the entire tournament. This axes a few notable draft candidates including goalie prospect Gabriel D'Aigle and top forward prospects Justin Carbonneau and Bill Zonnon.
Among those that made it included first round hopefuls Caleb Desnoyers and Emile Guite, as well as promising goaltender Lucas Beckman.
Below is the full list of the players who made the prestigious tournament
The tournament takes place in Edmonton from August 5th to the 10th.
