The Drummondville Voltigeurs have enlisted two new players to their roster for the 2024-25 season, in imports Teo Besnier and David Bosson.

Teo Besnier signing with the Drummondville Voltigeurs

Besnier was the Voltigeurs first round selection in the CHL Import Draft at 49th overall. Besnier, who will be 19 to start the season, is a 5-foot-9 right shot defenseman from France. He has been tearing up the French U20 league, as well as the lower French professional leagues. This past season he bounced around four leagues. He notched 15 points (10+5) across seven games with Grenoble Jr., before getting loaned to two different pro teams and even icing in four top league games with Grenoble. In the French third division, he played in five games, scoring 11 points (5+6) with Vaujany. He also played 33 games in the second division with Chambéry, potting 19 points (5+14) across them. With all that pro experience, it wouldn't be a shock if Besnier is a key offensive driver on the Volts blueline next season.

David Bosson of the Drummondville Voltigeurs

David Bosson was the Voltigeurs second round import pick, at pick #109. Bosson, 18, is a Swiss right winger who spent the entirety of last season on the Zurich Lions Jrs. of the Swiss U20 league. There he netted 20 points (5+15) over 47 games. Bosson repped the Swiss crest at the Hlinka-Gretzky tournament where he put up two points (2+0) over four games as the alternate captain. He also captained the Swiss team at the Under-18 World Championships, where he added another two points (0+2) over five games. Bosson should add some character to a locker room that just lost its captain, Luke Woodworth, and alternate captain, Maveric Lamoureux to pro hockey.

Both of these imports will be turning 19 years old this season, with their additions indicating that the Volts may not be content with just winning the Gilles-Courteau Trophy, and are looking to repeat for a chance to win the Memorial Cup.
