For Wildcats fans, things really couldn't have gone much better in last night's game against the Charlottetown Islanders.
Yesterday's saw the return of esteemed draft prospect Caleb Desnoyers and the season debut of goaltender Keegan Warren, who missed the pre-season and start of the regular season with injury.
Although, the biggest story around the game seems to be the new 'black out' uniforms the team debuted.
As advertised, the unis are primarily black with the only colour on the jersey being red. Instead of the typical Wildcats logo, the team offered to use the storied scratch marks, which were present on the back of Wildcats uniforms during the mid 2010s.
Matching the sleek look, the set is completed with matte black helmets that also feature the scratch design.

Coincidence or not, the Wildcats played very well in the new set, as they beat the Islanders 5-1 -- outshooting them 44 to 30.
As of yet, it is unclear whether the new unis were a one-off or will be making its return throughout the year. However, the result last night may be a sign that this shouldn't be the last we see of the kit.
