Goalies might be one of the most important positions in hockey, as it's the team's last line of defense. Moreover, it's the only position that can single-handedly win games.

These five netminders might be able to do just that in the 2024-25 QMJHL season.

    G Mathis Rousseau (Halifax)

Rousseau's .925 save percentage last season lead the entire QMJHL, will he be repeat that success on a Mooseheads team that incurred key losses?

    G Samuel St-Hilaire (Rimouski)

St-Hilaire posted a .915 save percentage last season on a near .500 Sherbrooke Phoenix team. Now an overager and at the helm of the Memorial Cup bound Rimouski Océanic, the sky is the limit.

    G Jakub Milota (Cape Breton)

Milota came to the QMJHL last season with grace, posting a .905 save percentage across 33 games. How high will 'Yak' soar in his sophomore season?

    G Lucas Beckman (Baie-Comeau)

Lucas Beckman has only player in just nine games in the QMJHL so far, but he's been exceptional when he has played -- including at the Hlinka. Baie-Comeau will give him a much larger sample size as he's expected to be their starter.

    G Riley Mercer (Drummondville)

After showing no mercy last playoffs by posting a .934 as the Voltigeurs won the QMJHL championship, Riley Mercer returns for his final year in a quest to avenge their Memorial Cup loss.
